Terms and Conditions
The Beaucour
Guest Cottages ("la Grange" and "le Pigeonnier ") are offered for holiday rental subject to confirmation by Frans and Claire Platteel ("the Owner") to the tenant
("the Client").
Prices
include:
Tourist Tax, final cleaning costs, linen changed weekly including sheets, pillowcases, bath towels and tea towels (excluding pool towels), bedding (duvets or blankets), electricity, gas and water, washing-machine and the use of the swimming pool (at your own risk).
Occupancy:
The maximum number of residents in "La Grange" is eight
persons and in "le Pigeonnier" is two persons plus a
baby.
Payments:
A deposit (25% of the total rent), which is
non-refundable, is payable at the signing of the booking
form. After receiving the booking form and deposit, the
Owner will confirm the booking and payment. This is
the formal acceptance of the booking. The balance of
the rent is payable
up to 6 weeks before the beginning of the rental period. If
payment is not received by the due date, the Owner
reserves the right to give notice in writing that the
reservation is cancelled. The client is liable for the balance of the rent unless the Owner is able
to re-let the Property. Reservations made within 6 weeks
of the start of the rental period require full payment
at the time of booking.
Cancellation:
Should you have to cancel you must inform us in writing or by e-mail. We will do our best to re-let and if successful refund all money except for the additional costs already made and for the deposit, which is non-refundable.
Security
Deposit:
A damage deposit of € 500 for la Grange and € 300 for le Pigeonnier has to be paid at least 6 weeks before arrival, preferable by cheque.
The damage deposit will be refunded to you within 14
days of departure from the property, except for any
deductions for cleaning, breakages or damage to the
property, swimming pool, terrace, etc. following the
check over. The client needs to report any defects or
damage to the property, terrace, swimming pool or
outside furniture to the Owner without delay.
Arrangements for reparation and/or replacement will be
made as soon as possible.
Should the security deposit be insufficient to cover any
charges made, it is a condition of booking that you pay
any balances due promptly following our notification.
Insurance:
The Client is strongly recommended to arrange a comprehensive travel insurance policy (including cancellation coverage) and to have full coverage for the party's personal belongings, public liability etc, since these are not covered by the Owner's insurance.
Rental
Period:
Letting commences at 4pm and ends at 10am. Bookings can
be made for any period subject to availability.
Generally the changeover day is Saturday.
Please enquire if you wish to have a different changeover day.
Cleaning:
The Client agrees to be a considerate tenant, to take good care of the property and to leave it in a wipe-clean condition at the end of the rental period. The Client also agrees not to act in any way which would cause disturbance to the residents in neighbouring properties.
Smoking:
Smoking is permitted, ashtrays should always be used.
Pets:
Pets are allowed on the property/estate.
Liability
The Owner is not liable:

For any temporary defect or stoppage in the supply of
public services to the Property, nor in respect of any
equipment, plant, machinery or appliance in the
property, garden or swimming pool.

For any loss, damage or injury, which is the result of
adverse weather conditions, riot, war, strikes or
matters beyond the control of the Owner.
Under no circumstances shall the Owner’s liability to
the Client exceed the amount paid to the Owner for the
rental period.
