Booking conditions of guesthouses

Domaine de Beaucour’s guesthouses (“La Grange” and “Le Pigeonnier”) will, after receipt of the booking form, be offered as holiday homes by Francois and Claire Platteel (“the owners”) to the tenants ( “the client”).

The rental price includes:

Tourist tax, cleaning cost, weekly clean bed linens (sheets and pillow-cases), towels (bathroom and kitchen towels, but no pool towels), blankets or duvets, electricity*, gas and water, washing machine and use of the swimming pool (at your own risk).

* winter prices exclude electricity.

Occupation:

The maximum number of guests is 8 people for La Grange and 2 people plus baby for Le Pigeonnier.

Payments:

When sending in the booking form, a non-refundable down payment of 25 percent of the total rental price is due. The owners will officially confirm the booking upon receipt of the booking form and the down payment.

The balance of the rental sum including a damage deposit  (for La Grange, 500 euros, and for Le Pigeonnier, 300 euros) must be in the owners’ possession at least 6 weeks before the start of the rental period.

If there are no damages, the deposit will be returned to your bank account within a week after your departure. Please report possible damages as soon as possible.

When making a reservation within 6 weeks prior to the rental period, payment of the total rental amount, including damage deposit, together with the booking form, is required.

Cancellation:

Cancellation needs to be done in writing or by email. The owners will try to re-let the said rental period. If successful, the already paid rental sum will be refunded as much as possible from the new rental agreement.

Insurance:

We suggest that you take out, apart from your liability- and travel-insurance, a cancellation insurance. No appeals to the owners’ insurance will be accepted.

Rental period:

The rental period starts on the first day at 16.00 hours and ends on the last day at 10.00 hours. The “switch day” is Saturday. Please enquire beforehand about the possibilities  of a different arrival and/or departure time.

Cleaning:

At the end of the rental period the guesthouse needs to be swept clean. The cost of final cleaning is included in the rental price.

Good tenancy:

The client agrees to occupy the guesthouse with respect for the environment and other users. In the case whereby the client does not behave in a way considered to be of a good tenant or causing hindrance or nuisance to its surroundings, further entrance to the guesthouse/the Domaine may be denied to him or her and the tenancy agreement may be considered in justice to be dissolved without laying claim to restitution of the rental sum or part there of.

Pets:

Your pets are welcome at the Domaine but remain your own responsibility.

Smoking:

Smoking is allowed under your own responsibility; please always extinguish cigarettes in an ashtray.

Liability:

The owners can never be held liable for any loss, damage or accident suffered by the clients, whatever may be the cause.

In the case whereby the guesthouse may, due to external calamity, be unavailable for the booked rental period, the owners will refund the already paid rental sum to the clients within 7 days after notification.

Under no circumstances will the liability of the owners exceed the amount paid by the clients for the rental period.
